This policy describes how Green Pyramid ("the app"), published by Craig Glendenning, handles your information. Green Pyramid is a personal clarification app: you name six life categories, capture what each one means to you with an AI advisory Council, and track daily habits against that. The app shows no advertising and holds no data-broker relationships.
The app creates an anonymous account for you automatically — you are never asked for an email address or password to use it. If you choose to back up your account (for example, before switching devices), you may link it to Sign in with Apple; this only adds a recovery credential to the same anonymous account and does not create a separate profile.
Your categories, their essences (what each category means to you), vision statement, habit definitions, and recent completion history are stored locally on your device and also synced to our Firebase backend under your account, so they survive a reinstall or device change and so notifications can be tailored to them. We operate no separate marketing or analytics database of this content — it exists solely to run the app for you.
When you use the Council — during initial setup or when revisiting a category — the app sends the relevant conversation, category context, and (where applicable) your existing essence to our backend, which forwards it to Anthropic's Claude models to generate a response.
Do not include information in Council conversations that you do not want processed by these services.
If you allow notifications, the app schedules reminders and, for trialing and subscribed accounts, tailored messages generated from your categories and recent activity, delivered via Firebase Cloud Messaging. If notifications are declined, reminders are scheduled locally on your device instead, and nothing about their content leaves the device.
Green Pyramid is funded by an optional monthly subscription, processed by our payments partner RevenueCat. RevenueCat receives your purchase receipt and an identifier tied to your anonymous account (not your name or email) to activate and manage your subscription; it does not receive any of your category, essence, or habit content. New accounts receive a short free trial before a subscription is required, limited to one trial per device so it cannot be repeatedly reclaimed by reinstalling the app. We use each platform's own mechanism for this:
This use is limited to preventing repeated free-trial claims on the same device; it is never combined with your category, essence, habit, or conversation content, and never used for advertising.
We use Firebase Analytics to understand aggregate app usage, such as which screens are visited and general device characteristics, so we can improve the app. This does not include your category, essence, or Council content.
Content you create is retained on your device and in our backend while your account is active. An account that never completes setup is deleted after 30 days of inactivity. An account whose trial or subscription lapses without ever being renewed has its backend copy deleted after 12 months; the local copy on your device is never affected by this. The Android trial hash described above is retained for 24 months. Deleting the app removes the on-device copy of your data immediately.
Green Pyramid is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, contact us and we will address it.
Communication with our backend and third-party services uses encrypted connections (HTTPS), and backend access is gated by device attestation (Firebase App Check) and account authentication. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information appropriately.
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date.
